Dear readers, I'm here again. The year has changed in Finland. What plans do I have for 2012? Well...a few.
- A vest for myself. I probably use 7 Brothers (7 Veljestä in Finnish)-yarn for that.
- A sweater for myself. I will use Novita Nalle (Novita Bear translated) to knit it. I've already knitted 1 sleeve and a collar. Right now I have the 2nd sleeve as my WIP.
- Some wool trousers for myself. I use 7 Brothers for those too. I have not even begun that yet, so we shall see how it goes.
And now that I tasted a bit the SKF (Secret Knitting Friend), I thought...why not to try to participate on the spring round too, even I had some difficulties during the autumn.

Dear readers, my SKF (Secret Knitting Friend) sent me some yarn I did not expect at all. I don't know what to do! I mean that yarn is so fine it needs a perfect project! It is merino wool. That in turn means it is thin. Very thin. It is fingering weight to be exact. I think I should join a little thicker yarn beside it, so that I could make something beautiful of it. But what is that beautiful thing? If only I knew! I'd knew one pattern I could use, but the gauge issue may be a little bit problematic. In other words I could run out of yarn! Maybe I join something beside that fine yarn, and knit something anyway. Something, that pleases the daughter of my only maternal cousin. Let's knit, shall we?

6x6 found their home some time ago. I am very, very pleased about that. Now I have this yarn diet to keep. Let's hope I won't slip. The diet lasts the whole March. My goal is 500 g yarn less. Let's hope I can and will achieve it.

Dear readers,
I take part to this exchange. Previously it was one partner in one month. The knitter must send 2 squares in 1 month for 1 person. Now the same partner is for 3 months, and one must send 6 squares. I decided to quit guessing, and I sent a little bigger box. Inside there are 3 rather...unique...containers, if one can say so. And in each of them there should be 2 squares. I hope they go to England the way they are meant to. They've left this town already.

I am here. And relief washes over me. Why? Because of this. If you see a piece which is totally green, you see a back of a skirt. If you see a piece which is partly green and partly gray, you see a front of a skirt. I am so relieved! So very relieved! Staying quiet was worth it.

Dear readers,
I am so relieved this net connection is back! I have a bag as my active knitting WIP right now. Yesterday was one crazy day. I was sooo worried about being the only one without the net connection. But soon I found out I was not the only one. So that calmed me down a little. And when I plugged my computer on today it worked. But now it is thunder time. I can hear it all right. Let's hope it does not destroy this.

Some new plans

Here I am again. My knitting plans...they're easy to tell. At first I must finish the vest I am knitting at the moment. Then I think I will start a bag. It is from the Finnish version of the Stitch N'Bitch -book. It is from the end of the book. There's this fabulous pattern which is very easy to follow. I am not the best knitter of the world, so simple patterns are my thing. And that bag is simple. I wonder if I should knit that bag sometimes with moss stitch and use Novita Maxi as yarn. That would be a big bag...but big bags are easy to carry and there's lot of space inside.

I feel a bit strange. I believe you remember when I told you about one canvas of mine, about the pansy one. Well, it is still on break. And I thought I could knit and stitch my "on hold" -department projects before I grab that pansy one to stitch again. At the moment I have a poncho as my knitting WIP. I have knitted more than 20 cm already. The total length should be 80 cm. I have no much left of the first piece. The second one will be my WIP once the firs one is done.

Dear readers,
I thought I have to knit. My latest needlepoint canvas is done. I thought it is time to decrease the mount of my knitting yarns. So I thought I will make a poncho. I will show a photo later. I just begun so there is no much to show.

What is wrong with me?

Dear readers,
I have...a bit strange state of mind right now. Why? I'd love to keep a break from needlepoint, but...at the same time the canvases...I feel like they'd keep calling my name. What is wrong with me? Why am I feeling like this? Of course it was a relief to get one project done, but I have some knitting projects too. Oh well...Maybe I must keep them waiting...or then not. I don't know. I have a skirt as an UFO...and it has made teeny weeny progress. You see, I began the back yesterday and even knitted few rows. But that's all. It is like I would not want to knit but instead I would love to stitch, stitch, stitch all the time. What is wrong with me?????????

I have sooo much projects I can hardly concentrate!!!!! First I had to make one green and blue baby blanket. That project was successful. But when I tried to repeat that project with 2 strands of another yarn, it was a failure. Oh well...that is life, I guess. But I am going to re-knit that yarn. But it has to cool off a bit first.

Dear readers,
I am a bit strange knitter. You may ask: "What do you mean?" Well, the case is this: I have made some squares. And those squares should form a pillow. But not in any order. This picture should show you exactly what kind of picture I have seen on my mind. When it comes to the background, I do not know anything about it. I have been thinking...that it could be crocheted. But the only form of crocheting I can handle is something they call as "free form crocheting". And that does not fit to a pillow - or does it?

I had to rewrite this once again. And one rule is sure: you won't see many pics here! Why? Because they will make the code of this blog one huge mishmash. So I rather type here and let the link department guide you when pics are in question. But if the Blogger will change its ways and allows even one picture, you will see even one picture.
