A surprise on my needles
Dear readers, I'm not going to tell you what I have on my needles. I can only tell you it is something blue. It is meant to be a surprise for someone I know. That someone has a wife and children. My plan is to surprise the wife too. And it seems I may have to knit another blanket for a prince or a princess.
How so?
A friend of mine told me one certain person has already privately committed to his girlfriend. The big "I do!" day is in November. There's no chance I could make them a congratulating gift, but if I keep hurry, I may have time to make a present for a prince or a princess. But all this is secret. Sometimes I hate secrets, but I must keep them, wanted or not. I want the targets to be surprised.

The packages are on their way
Dear readers, I sent some packages today. One is for the parents of the prince, and another is for another friend of mine. Her family has treated me very well.

Back to square 1
Dear readers, I was going to knit a sweater for myself. A sweater, that I could wear during a wedding celebration, if I get an invitation. I don't expect such, but who knows. Someone may want to invite me.
The back is already done, but the front and the sleeves are still missing. I started the front, but I had to rip it. I had made a mistake with the pattern. Now I've re - written the pattern for myself. I hope it will be right this time. But I am not going to re - knit it any time soon.

No baby news - and that's good! Something about mittens too
Dear readers, here I sit again. I'm glad there hasn't been baby news among those I know.
Why?
Because I should knit like crazy.
I've knitted one such a gift, and I dare to say it wasn't nice. I want to enjoy the journey too, not just getting to the destination.
The mitten situation...I know I should knit at least 2 pairs, but it seems yarn resists. It doesn't want to become mittens. That means I must find them another form.
